About Us
The idea for Kingdom Shades began in 2021, inspired by Eric’s experience after purchasing an aircraft equipped with a competitor’s window shades. Unsatisfied with the quality relative to their cost, he set out to create a better solution. After making many different sets for friends that loved the idea— Kingdom Shades was born.
From the start, the vision for our shades has been clear: they must be 100% legal, fully removable, require no STC, blend seamlessly with the factory appearance of the aircraft, and WORK!
The company’s mission-driven focus grew from Eric and Natalie’s Christian faith and their shared passion for supporting mission aviation around the world. Recognizing the vital role aircraft play in global outreach, they committed a portion of Kingdom Shades’ profits to organizations that use aviation to serve communities in need.
Today, every Kingdom Shades product is proudly designed and manufactured by our family in our airplane hangar in Logansport, Indiana.
Eric Howard
CSO/Chief Stewardship Officer
Flying since the age of 13, Eric knows airplanes. He has bought and sold more than 40 of his own personal aircraft so he knows the ins and outs of aircraft ownership. In addition to flying, Eric toured for over 13 years with rock and pop acts such as Lady GAGA and CREED among many others. After meeting the love of his life, Natalie, he decided to hang up his touring hat. With GOD's help, the pair built a successful agricultural aviation company in Indiana. The company was blessed with a gross sales increase of more than 100% year-on-year before it was sold in 2023. Eric's not just good at soaring in the skies; he's also a sales whiz. With a prayer in one hand and a airplane shade in the other, Eric ensures our employees and customers are treated with the highest level of respect and service.

Natalie Howard
President
More than a pilot's wife, Natalie is the co-pilot of our company's success. Just ask Eric, Natalie is the brains behind the operation as she holds her Master's Degree in business. From website development to office management to HR to bookkeeping, she ensures everything is flying smoothly. Often referred to as "Hangar Mom", Natalie can be found saying a prayer when needed and trying to feed those around her.
